About QuizDrop
QuizDrop is a small set of short trivia quizzes built on one rule: every answer gets an explanation. A quiz that only tells you that you were wrong is a mildly annoying way to spend two minutes. One that tells you why is worth the time.
Where the questions come from
Questions are written in-house and checked against reference sources before publication. We favour the kind of question where the common answer is wrong for an interesting reason — Australia's capital, the hottest planet — because those are the ones that stick.
A few answers legitimately change over time. Moon counts get revised as surveys find more; some figures are averages rather than fixed values. Where that is true, the explanation says so rather than pretending to a precision that does not exist.
Tell us and include the quiz name and the question. Corrections are the fastest thing in our inbox to get actioned.
Your scores stay yours
Best scores are stored in your own browser's local storage. They never reach a server, we cannot see them, and clearing your browser data resets them. There are no accounts and no leaderboards, because neither would be worth the data collection they would require.
How this site is funded
QuizDrop is free and supported by advertising through third-party partners who may set cookies — details in the privacy policy.
Ads sit in fixed positions: below the header, after the quiz, and on the results screen. Deliberately, there is no ad between questions. Interrupting a quiz mid-flow would earn slightly more per session and make the site meaningfully worse to use. Nothing in the answer area is ever an ad, and no ad is styled to look like an answer button.
